Lil Tjay Calls Offset a ‘Rat’ After Casino Shooting Arrest
It hasn’t even been 24 hours since Offset was shot outside of a Florida casino after a filmed dustup. In the hours since the shooting, he’s been hospitalized in stable condition, and Lil TJay has been arrested for a fight that broke out just prior to the shooting. While the rapper insists he didn’t pull the trigger on the former Migos rapper, he seems pretty angry about his arrest. This is what we know so far.
Offset was shot at Hard Rock Casino and Hotel
Offset’s Monday evening took an odd turn. At around 7 p.m., the “Bad and Boujee” rapper was shot while standing in the valet area outside of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Offset was taken from the premises by ambulance, though his injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.
Initial reports indicated that Offset was talking to fans and taking pictures just before the shooting, though eyewitnesses later came forward to say a fistfight had broken out between Offset and another man just before the shooting. Lil TJay is said to have been one of the men spotted fighting outside of the casino.

Offset’s shooting at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel was not called targeted, though Seminole police insisted there was no further risk almost immediately following the event. The establishment continued business as usual, too. Lil Tjay’s night ended there, though. Lil Tjay was arrested in connection with an incident that precipitated the shooting, though he hasn’t been charged directly with the shooting.
The hip-hop artist has since been released from jail. While his stay wasn’t a long one, he’s certainly riled up over it. The rapper shared his thoughts with reporters following his release, insisting he had nothing to do with it. Still, he didn’t have any kind words or well-wishes for Offset. Instead of hoping for a speedy recovery, he called the artist a “rat.”
According to TMZ, Lil TJay was charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on a $500 bond. No charges related to the shooting have been filed, at least not yet. As for Offset, he appears to be on his way to recovery.
