Less than a month after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot, the Duchess of Sussex joined the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the very first time during Trooping the Colour.

All eyes were on Harry’s bride to capture Meghan’s reaction experiencing the festivities for the first time. Cameras rolled and plenty of photographs from that day were released.

Some royal watchers debated if the former Suits star was nervous and trying to hide it as she smiled and waved at the crowds that flooded the streets. It looked as though Harry was trying to make her comfortable as he engaged her in conversation.

Now, a professional lip reader is sharing what the prince was saying to his wife that day.

Lip-reading expert reveals what Prince Harry was telling Meghan during event

In the documentary Lip-Reading the Royals: The Secret Conversations, lip reader Nicola Hickling observed what Prince Harry was saying to Meghan that day.

According to Hickling, Harry was explaining “to her what is going to happen and that Paras will be flying overhead” using “hand motions” before Meghan responded, “OK.”

However, royal commentator Christo Foufas opined that the duke’s gesturing and telling the duchess about everything that was happening seemed silly and questioned if Harry was “mansplaining” everything to her.

“The lip readers have exposed him mansplaining to her what a flypast [is],” Foufas said, adding, “Is this Harry being too dumb to realize that Meghan knows that planes are in the air and, as a member of the royal family, you probably have to look at a few, or is this Meghan playing dumb so Harry feels like he’s in charge?”

Expert says Meghan did appear genuinely happy during her first Trooping the Colour

He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.”

He analyzed footage of Meghan’s demeanor the very first time she stepped on the balcony with her in-laws and noted that she did look happy to be there.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “Meghan always comes over very confident. Her posture and the way she interacts with the rest of the royal family during her first Trooping the Colour highlights this. She took this debut in her stride. Her smiles are genuinely authentic, and she’s using lots of open-hand gestures, which are true signs of real happiness. There’s a real sense of authenticity here.”

In his memoir Spare, Harry wrote about that day and claimed that following the balcony appearance, things got awkward when “Kate asked Meg what she thought of her first Trooping the Colour. And Meg joked: ‘Colourful.’”

Harry said that Meghan was expecting Kate to laugh, but she did not and “a yawning silence threatened to swallow us all whole.”
