The father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been arrested again for violating his probation.

TMZ Sports reported that Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested on Feb. 3 after he allegedly violated his probation for his DWI sentence by consuming alcohol. Mahomes Sr., who is a former MLB pitcher, was pulled over for disregarding traffic signs and cited for driving without a license. He was booked into the Smith County Jail in Texas at 8:53 a.m. local time.

According to US Weekly, Mahomes Sr. has been arrested six other times for DUI/DWI. The publication noted that “he was first arrested on the same charge in March 2012 and again the following September. His third charge came in April 2018, and the fourth in November 2018. Upon his fifth arrest for drunk driving in March 2019, he was jailed from March 15 to April 7 before completing his 40-day sentence on a weekend work release program.”

His sixth arrest was in February 2024, just days before his son’s team played the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. Following that arrest, he received five years on probation.

If he’s found guilty for this probation violation, Mahomes Sr. could face a 10-year prison sentence.
