Marc Anthony is close friends with David and Victoria Beckham. He’s been close to the pair for decades and is even Cruz Becham’s godfather. That doesn’t mean he wishes to be pulled further into their family feud than he already has been. While Anthony has finally broken his silence about the feud between Brooklyn Beckham and his famous parents, he has no interest in discussing the wedding dance that reportedly lit the fire in 2022.

Marc Anthony has broken his silence about the Beckham family rift

Marc Anthony is finally speaking out about the Beckham family feud, but he’s not saying a whole lot. Anthony sat down with the Hollywood Reporter for the first time since Brooklyn Beckham exposed his family drama. Anthony’s interview focused on his upcoming residency in Las Vegas. Still, he did spend some time getting personal. He didn’t want to spend too much time on the drama. Still, he did discuss his connection to the Beckhams, casually avoiding taking any blame.

Anthony suggested that the media may be blowing the situation out of proportion before praising David and Victoria Beckham. He called them a “wonderful family” before saying, “It’s extremely unfortunate how it’s playing out.” Anthony never mentioned Brooklyn Beckham by name, feuling speculation that he is absolutely on Team David and Victoria.

He isn’t talking about the wedding dance drama, though

While Marc Anthony acknowledged that there had been a rift between the Beckhams and their eldest son, he remained completely quiet on one issue. The famed Latin artist never mentioned his performance at Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding. He did not acknowledge reports that he may have fueled the rift by calling Victoria Beckham “the most beautiful woman in the room,” while bringing her on stage to dance with her son.

The dance is one that Brooklyn Beckham mentioned in his scathing online statement about the distance he put between himself and his parents. DJ Fat Tony confirmed that the dance was inappropriate, as was Marc Anthony’s behavior, in an appearance on This Morning several weeks ago. In his interview, the iconic DJ revealed that wedding guests were uncomfortable with the call-up and Victoria Beckham’s attempts to outshine the bride on her wedding day. He maintained that the actual dance was fine.
