Ashley Olsen’s twin sister, Mary-Kate Olsen, has just made a rare appearance with Kendall Jenner as the two were spotted out at Sushi Park in Los Angeles.

Fans can’t stop talking about the meet-up because many didn’t even know they were friends, while others haven’t stopped talking about it because of the ring Mary-Kate was sporting on that finger. An image of the eye-catching rock was seen in a carousel of photos posted on Instagram.

The actress-turned-fashion-designer has been dating art dealer PC Valmorbida since 2024. But they have kept their relationship out of the public eye so there have been no leaks of a proposal or engagement, which makes her choice to wear the ring even more intriguing.

Now, the fine jewelry and diamond experts at Steven Stone have taken a closer look at Mary-Kate’s ring and are sharing all the sparkling details about it.

Maxwell Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Mary-Kate’s Sushi Park appearance sparked buzz when she was spotted wearing a solitaire ring on that finger. From the available images, the gemstone appears opaque to slightly translucent — most likely a Carnelian, known for its rich, deep orange-red hue. This stone is often featured in bohemian or artisan-style jewellery, reminiscent of Mary-Kate’s former engagement ring from (ex-husband) Olivier Sarkozy.”

The expert added, “The gem seems to be around six carats and cut in a square (princess) shape, a style that exudes modern elegance and sophistication. The princess cut is often associated with romance and refined taste — fitting for someone with Mary-Kate’s understated yet distinctive aesthetic.

“Whether this new sparkler marks an engagement or simply a striking fashion statement, it’s undoubtedly a valuable piece. Based on its size and craftsmanship, I’d estimate it to be worth around $50,000.”
