Megan Thee Stallion Believes a Trial Witness Mistook ‘Very Petite’ Tory Lanez for a Woman
Three years after Tory Lanez’s conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, the latter is back in court for a defamation trial. In 2024, the rapper filed a lawsuit against blogger Milagro Cooper. She alleged that Cooper worked with Lanez to intimidate and defame her on social media. When Cooper’s lawyers questioned Megan about her testimony during Lanez’s trial, she shared why she thought a witness might have mistaken Lanez for a woman.
Megan Thee Stallion described Tory Lanez as petite during a trial
Independent journalist Meghann Cuniff followed Lanez’s trial and is now tracking the suit against Cooper. She reported that during Megan’s testimony, Cooper’s attorney Jeremy McLymont questioned her about witness Sean Kelly’s testimony. Kelly said he saw two women fighting on the night Megan was shot. McLymont implied that Megan lied about Lanez shooting her and that her friend Kelsey Harris did so instead.
Megan said that Lanez and Harris were in a physical altercation on the night he shot her.
“I don’t know exactly what I saw, but that’s what Kelsey said. She said that he slapped her, pulled her hair, and hit her “with a closed fist.” As a result, Megan believes that Kelly mistook Lanez for a woman given his size.
“Tory Lanez is about 5-2, 5-3, and was very petite at the time, which is why people probably thought that two women were fighting,” she said.
Jury deliberations are underway in the defamation case against Cooper.
