Megan Thee Stallion Gave Insight on Klay Thompson Romance While Celebrating With Olympians
Megan Thee Stallion is hoping to go the distance with Klay Thompson. After meeting up with Olympians Brittany Bowe, Hilary Knight, and Leila Edwards in Milan, Megan admitted that she is hoping to marry Thompson one day. Here’s what she said about her romance with the NBA star.
Megan Thee Stallion spoke about a potential engagement to Klay Thompson
Shortly after the end of the 2026 Winter Olympics, Megan spoke to Bowe, Knight, and Edwards at a restaurant in Milan. Bowe, a speed skater, and Knight, the captain of the women’s hockey team, got engaged during the games.
“I hear y’all just got engaged, congrats,” Megan told the couple.
After watching the video of Knight’s proposal, Megan admitted she wanted something similar for herself soon.
“She’s like, ‘Hell yeah, I’mma marry you,’” she said. “I love love, that’s so sweet. Manifesting my engagement, too.”
With that, she crossed her fingers.
She said she’s happy and comfortable in her relationship
Megan admitted her happy relationship with Thompson took her by surprise.
“Well, I don’t never want to tell [anybody] to just jump in a relationship just because everybody else got one, and I’m not going to tell you to just jump in a relationship because you have to,” she told People. “I didn’t even know I was going to be in my relationship, to be honest.”
She said she wasn’t seeking out a romantic relationship when she met the Mavericks player. Instead, she was working on herself, which she believes opened her up to love.
“I think that because finally I started being in a better mind space about myself and my life, and I had already been doing a lot of work to heal me,” she said. “I had been going to therapy, I had a bunch of activities that I started doing for myself; maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right.”
The relationship, she said, is a good fit for her.
“This is one of the first times that I’ve ever been just overly comfortable,” she said. “I’m comfy, babe!”
How long have Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson been together?
Megan and Thompson were first linked during the summer of 2025, after fans insisted they saw him in the background of one of her Instagram posts. They began coyly posting one another before hard launching on the red carpet of the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. Megan spoke glowingly about him at the event.
“I have never dated somebody so kind,” she told Page Six. “This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy. I just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”
Since then, they have frequently posted one another on their social media accounts, and step out publicly together.
