Meghan Markle Given Rude Nickname After ‘Messy’ Appearance in Jordan
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarked on a trip to Jordan after they were invited by the World Health Organization director-general, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. The purpose of their two-day visit to the country was to see firsthand and highlight the humanitarian efforts of the Jordanian authorities and a range of other agencies supporting the health and well-being of Syrians and Palestinians who have sought sanctuary there over the years.
But of course, the Sussexes’ critics found things to sound off about as focus shifted to the duchess’s wardrobe.
The former Suits star was seen wearing a chic white suit before she changed into a more relaxed outfit as she and her husband visited a refugee camp in northern Jordan. Meghan donned high-waisted khaki pants with a brown belt, an olive green T-shirt, and a white button-down blouse over it. And social media could not stop commenting on what really stood out.
Meghan dubbed ‘Duchess Wrinkle Pants’
Meghan’s pants were so wrinkled that it was all users on X wanted to talk about.
“The pants look at least two sizes too big for her! And doesn’t she have an iron?” one person asked, while another wanted to know, “Does she google ‘clothing that will certainly wrinkle’ and then buy it all?”
A third posted, “She didn’t bring a little handheld steamer? Showing up anywhere with clothes looking like this is just weird for any professional.” And a fourth chimed, “Never tailored, always wrinkled! Hem them up! So sloppy”
A fifth person commented, “She’s a beautiful woman but who dresses her up? Lilibet?”
Another person dubbed Meghan, the “Duchess Wrinkle Pants.”
And another user wrote, “Neither Diana nor Princess Catherine would dress in a wrinkled mess.”

If it’s a strategy to try and bring themselves back into the royal fold they played it expertly.”
Stanton continued, “Harry in particular, has this amazing ability to seem totally at ease in public settings and make those around him feel similarly at ease. He uses regular open palm gestures, easy genuine smiles, and leans into conversations showing active engaged listening — all of these allow him to connect with people on a deeply human level despite his royal status. Traits he and William both inherited from their mother.
“Meghan is used to this public attention due to her time as an actress and seems equally calm and composed. Her movements are smooth, there are no self-soothing gestures and that composure influences those around her as well. They have shown how adept they are in these situations, and what a valuable asset they would be to the royal family if they were allowed to become more involved. If that is their goal, this was a great first step.”
