Meghan Markle ‘Identifies’ With What Brooklyn Beckham’s Going Through and Is Pulling Strings to Get Him an Interview With Oprah
The public learned all about the Beckham family feud after Brooklyn Beckham broke his silence with a lengthy statement detailing what he said led to the rift with his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
According to Brooklyn, “My parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed …I do not want to reconcile with my family … For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.
“The performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into … Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media.
Some people immediately drew comparisons between Brooklyn and Prince Harry since the former working royal is also feuding with the family he was born into over “lies” the duke claims were intentionally fed to the media.
Now though, there is a report that it’s not Harry, but his wife, Meghan Markle, who “identifies” more with Brooklyn and what he’s going through. And because of that, the duchess is said to be trying to “pull some strings” behind the scenes to set up a TV interview between Brooklyn and the Sussex’s neighbor and friend, Oprah Winfrey.
A source told Radar Online that “Meghan identifies very strongly with what Brooklyn is going through. She’s come to believe that Brooklyn has been painted in an unfair light — much like she and Harry felt they were when their own family tensions became public. Seeing the intensity of the backlash after his statement genuinely upset her.”
The insider also claimed the duchess has reached out to Brooklyn and “gently advised” him on what to do next, explaining that Meghan “believes a structured, in-depth interview — where he feels safe, supported and able to explain himself fully — would give him a fairer opportunity to be understood. It’s about reclaiming control of the narrative rather than letting it run away with him.”
However, despite this unconfirmed report, Brooklyn has not indicated that he’s interested in doing any interviews, and hasn’t commented any more on his family’s feud since his public statement.
As for the Sussexes’ relationship with Brooklyn’s parents, you may recall that Meghan and Harry were good friends with David and Victoria until the couples had their own falling out. Some reports about that say their friendship ended years ago when the tabloids started to print stories about Victoria helping Meghan adjust to life in the U.K. The Sussexes believed that Victoria was leaking information to the press and had Harry call David to ask about it. The accusation and questioning from the prince left David “furious.”
It was also claimed in Tom Bower’s book Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors that the duke asked the Inter Miami FC co-founder to fly 22 hours to Australia to attend an Invictus Games event with him but had no intention of ever meeting him there. According to Bower, Harry decided to keep his distance from David because Meghan did not want any “competition” in the media from him or Victoria.
