Some people were a bit surprised when it was announced that Meghan Markle is returning to acting. That’s because when she met Prince Harry, she was starring on the legal drama Suits but decided to leave the show and her career altogether to become a working royal.

Moreover, Meghan has been involved in so many other things since that have nothing to do with acting and therefore, many fans thought she was done totally done with acting. But as the duchess once said about returning to her roots, “never say never.”

Prince Harry’s wife has a small role in the upcoming movie titled Close Personal Friends. Meghan will make a cameo playing herself in the Amazon MGM Studios film, which stars Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding. The flick is about two people who befriend a celebrity couple during a visit to Santa Barbara.

Now, the question is: Will Meghan go back to acting full-time? Here’s why someone who used to work for her husband and the rest of the royals doesn’t think that’s going to happen.

Former royal employee on why it’s unlikely Meghan will return to acting full-time

Grant Harrold was King Charles’ butler for seven years. During his time working for the now-monarch Harrold’s duties included those of valet, housekeeper, house manager, and driver. He also looked after Prince William, Kate, and Prince Harry whenever they stayed at Highgrove House.

Speaking on behalf of Action Network, Harrold told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “When Meghan first joined the royal family, the late queen gave her blessing for her to continue acting, which was quite unusual. But Meghan decided against it and wanted to try her way of doing royal life, but it’s all backfired a bit.

“I think she’s realized that stepping away was a mistake and she’s backtracking a bit. This is them eating humble pie a bit. However, she’s now got lots of other projects that she’s working on — mainly her As Ever range — and I don’t think she’ll give that up to make acting her only venture. So I think any extra acting work will just be a bonus, rather than her full-time career going forward.”

Harrold added, “We’re also seeing Harry continuing his tours solo, carrying out more traditional-styled ‘royal’ engagements focusing on causes he’s passionate about. It’s like they are both going back to their roots. It’s like we’re going back in time. It’s like they’re going back to the original plan. I wonder if that’s what he’s told his father in their latest meetings, that they were going to be taking this approach going forward — which I think the king will approve of, along with the rest of the royal family.”

While some were surprised by Meghan’s return to the career she had before she married the prince, one psychic was not and actually predicted this all along.

Inbaal Honigman is a celebrity psychic astrologer who has been reading Tarot since the ’90s. She has appeared in the media for more than 20 years, giving her predictions for Big Brother’s Little Brother, Elle Magazine, and talkSPORT radio, to name a few. In 2023, she accurately predicted that King Charles would develop an “illness” that would “become public knowledge via an official announcement” in 2024.

Honigman also previously predicted that Meghan would return to acting but only for small roles. She told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that the duchess would “attend some auditions” but is “not in any rush to return as a series regular. She’d love to do some guest spots here and there.”
