Meghan Markle Sends Message as She Wears Over $200,000 Worth of Jewelry to Award Gala
Meghan Markle is known for having an impressive jewelry collection. Whether it’s pieces gifted to her from Prince Harry, items she purchased herself over the years, or jewels from her late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s collection, the duchess proudly displays them whenever she can.
That was the case when she and Prince Harry attended a gala where they were recognized for their efforts at the Project Healthy Minds Gala in New York City on Oct. 9.
Meghan showed off some stunning jewelry, including a pair of earrings from the prince, which are by a Ukrainian brand, to show the Sussexes’ unwavering support for the people in the war-torn country. Now, the fine jewelry and diamond specialists at the U.K. retailer Steven Stone have taken a closer look at those earrings and the other dazzling accessories Meghan wore that evening.
Maxwell Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “The most valuable piece Meghan was wearing was, unsurprisingly, her engagement ring — worth around $147,000. The custom design features a cushion-cut diamond from Botswana, flanked by two diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal collection. One of the duchess’s most recognizable and frequently worn accessories, however, is the iconic Cartier ‘Love’ bracelet, worth $8,760, which she has been seen wearing on numerous occasions over the years.
“It’s clear that sentiment plays a central role in Meghan’s jewelry choices. From the Cartier Tank Française watch that belonged to Princess Diana, to the ‘Flats’ earrings by Ukrainian brand Guzema — a thoughtful gift from Prince Harry — each piece tells a story. Even her wedding band, crafted from rare Welsh gold gifted by the late Queen Elizabeth II, holds deep royal significance. For Meghan, jewelry is never just about glamour — it’s rich in meaning and personal history. And at the gala, she was adorned in over $200,000 worth of it.”
