Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show to Be Canceled; Expert Reveals How She Can Save It
Season 1 of Meghan Markle‘s Netflix show debuted in March, followed by Season 2 in August. But since then, there have been several reports that the streaming giant is not interested in Season 3 of With Love, Meghan following poor numbers and the program’s failure to get anywhere near the Top 10.
However, a celebrity PR expert believes that there may be a way for Meghan to save her show with the streamer she and Prince Harry still have a “first-look” contract with.
Here’s more on that and when we will definitely see the former Suits star in the kitchen again.
How the duchess can revamp ‘With, Love Meghan’
According to new figures from Action Network, With Love, Meghan is currently more likely to be canceled than renewed, with odds of 1/2 (67%) for cancellation versus 2/1 (33%) for a third season. While the first season received mixed reviews, the second series may be the show’s last–unless changes are made.
Now, celebrity PR specialist Kayley Cornelius is sharing what Prince Harry’s wife could do if she wants to salvage the series.
Speaking on behalf of Action Network, Cornelius told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “It was a clever move from Meghan’s PR team to secure a pre-agreed two-season deal with Netflix for the former duchess’s series With Love, Meghan. Had they only agreed to a single season, the show being axed early would have looked like a failure.
“By contrast, framing it as a neatly packaged two-series run makes it feel more like a creative choice than a reaction to ratings or public reception. It gives the impression of control – that the narrative is being shaped by design rather than dictated by performance or press scrutiny.”
Corenlius added, “That said, With Love, Meghan arrives at a time when public interest in Meghan is fading and opinion remains deeply divided. To shift that perception, a third season would need to bring real depth and authenticity – something that goes beyond glossy production and surface-level storytelling.
“If the duchess wants to be taken seriously in her new venture and regarded as a respected figure in the field, she’ll have to offer far more than the feel-good concepts we’ve seen so far. She needs to deliver originality and substance, backed by well-loved special guests and fresh, thought-provoking ideas that offer genuine value beyond what the average viewer can already find online.”
The expert concluded, “Ultimately, viewership figures and public sentiment will determine whether Netflix decides to extend its partnership with her. But if the reaction to the first two series is anything to go by, the outlook isn’t particularly bright, and it would likely need some work, or at least a major creative rethink, to turn things around in her favor.”
Meghan will be back in the kitchen at least once more
Despite the dismal numbers for With Love, Meghan Season 2, Netflix previously announced that the duchess has a holiday special already in the pipeline with the streamer.
The press release issued by Archewell Productions for that read: “This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration. Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs — with simple how-tos to follow at home. It’s a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy.”
