Every now and then we hear stories about how some Hollywood stars we see on screen aren’t the nicest people when you actually meet them. The stories are mostly passed along by fans who have had an encounter with a particular celebrity. So it isn’t too often we hear from someone who interviews high-profile people for a living talk about who’s super sweet and who’s downright rude.

Well, that’s exactly what Megyn Kelly has done, and her picks still have people buzzing. Here’s who the Sirius XM host picked as the “meanest” and “nicest” stars she’s ever met.

Kelly said these celebs were the ‘meanest’

Kelly didn’t hold back when asked to name the “meanest” and most “unpleasant” A-lister she’s ever interviewed.

Jane Fonda is the first who “comes to mind,” Kelly told the Daily Mail. Kelly recounted that back in 2017, when Fonda was a guest on Today to promote her movie Our Souls at Night, the actress’s rep gave instructions to find any other topic to talk about, just not Fonda’s sex scenes with Robert Redford in the film. So Kelly asked Fonda about her plastic surgery instead, since she has talked openly in the past about going under the knife. But Fonda wasn’t happy with that line of questioning that day and acted very offended.

“She really wanted to talk about their sex scenes,” Kelly claimed.

Kelly also brought up Bruce Willis and what he was like during an appearance on Fox News in 2006.

“He came on and was just so clearly unhappy to be there,” the conservative commentator recalled. “I mean, that’s fine, he has his politics, but why agree to come on? Usually, people have some give. He didn’t. At all.”

She added that the Die Hard star was “so ungiving [and] so ungenerous,” before admitting, “I hate to say it because of how he’s struggling now. But he was just unpleasant.”

She also brought up Ellen DeGeneres, sharing, “I worked with someone — that person had a very close family member work for Ellen and they said you were not allowed to even make eye contact with her. This was a producer on the show. They were all told, if you come across her in the hallway, even if you’re already looking in that general direction, to look down at the floor … She is a bad person.”

Kelly praised these celebs as the ‘nicest’

When it comes to the “nicest” celebrities she’s ever interacted with, Kelly praised Kathie Lee Gifford for being so nice and welcoming when they worked together on Today. She was also “very impressed” with Russell Brand and how “warm” he was when she met him.

Kelly surprised some when she named Jada Pinkett Smith as one of the “nicest” too. According to Kelly, the Set It Off star was “so sweet, so sincere, [and] so genuine” when she appeared on her talk show in 2018.

Even more shocking is that Kelly is a big fan of liberal podcaster Tommy Vietor, declaring, “He’s my favorite Pod Save America guy. No one else knows that.”
