Meredith Marks Addressed Rumors About Her Exit From ‘RHOSLC’: ‘Why Do I Put Myself Through the Negatives?’
Meredith Marks has been on RHOSLC since the beginning, but some sources have claimed that the latest season could be her last. Ahead of the show’s seventh season, some sources said that Marks could exit the reality series due to her castmates’ problems with her. Marks addressed these rumors and noted that appearing on the show is not always easy.
Some sources claimed Meredith Marks would not return for season 7 of ‘RHOSLC’
Ahead of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 6 reunion, some have wondered if Marks will return for the next season. Some rumors claim that Marks may not want to return because the show demoted her.
“There are rumors floating around stating she was downgraded, and she rejected that,” a source told Radar Online. “While I can’t confirm that, I can say that I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t return next season.”
She has also been at odds with many of her cast members. The source noted that some people may refuse to film with her, which could damage her position within the cast.
“But… a lot of the cast is definitely not happy with Meredith and where things stand right now.”
Meredith Marks spoke about the rumors that she is leaving ‘RHOSLC’
In a recent conversation with RHOC star Tamra Judge on the Two T’s in a Pod podcast, Marks addressed the rumors that she is not returning to RHOSLC for its seventh season. When Judge said that she hoped these rumors weren’t true, Marks said, “I hope not too. Let’s hope I feel good after the reunion.”
Still, she noted that it isn’t always easy to appear on a reality show.
“It’s just hard,” she said. “There’s so many positives. But then you say, Why do I put myself through the negatives?”
She feels the other women are out to get her
Marks and cast member Heather Gay have been at odds on the show. When asked if she saw Gay as the “puppet master” of the cast, she said she thinks the show features more of a herd mentality.
“I think there’s a lot of herd mentality that goes on on our show,” she said. “Who is actually pulling the strings is tough to tell. In certain circumstances, yes, [but] I don’t know that I would say on the show in general.”
She also addressed her relationship with former cast member Monica Garcia. She felt that Garcia and, ultimately, the rest of the cast turned on her unfairly on a cast trip to Bermuda.
“I didn’t have a problem with Monica really, until pretty much in Bermuda when she was trying to pin all that stuff on me that I just didn’t do. But it wasn’t just Monica,” she said. “It was everybody, again, everyone’s like, ‘Let’s try to take down Meredith.’”
The three-part RHOSLC reunion airs Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. The second part airs on Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. ET, and Part 3 will air on Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. ET.
