Meri Brown has put plenty of physical distance between herself and her ex-husband, Kody Brown. Following her spiritual split from Kody, Meri fled Flagstaff, Arizona, and settled in Parowan, Utah, where she established a small business. Hundreds of miles away, with a spiritual divorce under her belt, Meri moved on. She grew her friend group and her business, and she even dated. Still, she remains in contact, to some degree, with Kody, likely for the purpose of Sister Wives. Meri recently revealed that, despite the divorce, their relationship remains a rollercoaster. The dynamic hasn’t changed.

Meri Brown says her relationship with Kody Brown is still a rollercoaster

Meri Brown has spent the last two and a half years rebuilding her life without Kody Brown in it. At the very least, she’s rebuilt her life without factoring Kody Brown into her day-to-day life. Despite being divorced, the former polygamist is in contact with her ex-husband. According to Meri, although they are no longer married, their dynamic isn’t all that different.

Ahead of the release of season 20 of Sister Wives, Meri Brown sat down for an interview for I Do, Part 2. During the chat, Meri revealed that her entire marriage was like a rollercoaster ride. She said she and Kody experienced high highs and very low lows. Meri went on to reveal that despite the divorce, that hasn’t changed. She said their relationship, when they connect, is unpredictable and consists of very good moments and very bad ones.

While that sounds terrible, Meri seems perfectly content with the situation as it stands. It is probably easier for her to deal with the former polygamist now, since she is no longer spiritually beholden to him.

Meri has a more neutral take on Kody than her former sister wives

While Meri Brown was clearly hurt by Kody during their long, very cold marriage, she doesn’t seem to be holding any grudges now. In fact, Meri seems to have found significant peace and is even willing to compliment her former spouse. During her podcast appearance, she called her ex-husband charismatic and admitted that she doesn’t believe Kody is a bad person. She went on to say that she wishes him well, but accepts that their values just don’t align.

Her take on Kody is the most neutral stance an ex-wife has taken on the reality TV villain thus far. Janelle Brown, Kody’s second ex-wife, has attempted to be kind but honest about her feelings towards her ex. She and Kody are no longer in contact. Janelle has made it clear that she has no desire to build a friendship with him or his fourth wife. In an honest moment during a recent tell-all, she revealed she simply doesn’t like Kody or his wife, Robyn Brown.

Christine Brown, who was the first to leave and the first to remarry, remains the most bitter and angry. In her recent memoir, she shared terrible stories of her time with Kody and absolutely ripped him to shreds. While Kody’s biggest critics cheered the mother of six on, more neutral Sister Wives fans have questioned exactly why Christine remains so angry so long after truly moving on. In fact, they’ve questioned the stability of her current marriage because of it.
