Miley Cyrus recently shouted out her parents for the way they handled her money when she was a child star. While some child actors make a great deal of money, they don’t see much of it. Instead, it goes to their parents or other benefactors. This was never a problem for Cyrus. She thanked her parents for the way they handled her early fame.

Miley Cyrus said all the money she made on ‘Hannah Montana’ was her own

Cyrus rose to fame on Hannah Montana when she was 13 years old. Many child stars have opened up about the difficulties of early stardom. Cyrus feels grateful that this was never her experience. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was on set with her every day. Their dressing room was connected.

“My dad was on set every single day, so there was nothing that could happen that he wouldn’t know about,” Cyrus told Variety. “There was never a time where I was going to be alone in that dressing room.”

She also noted that she was able to keep the money she made on the show. Many child actors have revealed that their parents mismanaged their finances, leaving them with nothing when they reached adulthood.

“My parents didn’t need me to be famous to survive or to be stable,” she said. “What happens to a lot of these kids is their parents want it more than they do, or the kids become responsible for the entire income of the family. That was never my job. Every penny I ever made went into my bank account because my parents were good.”

Both Billy Ray and Cyrus’ mother, Tish, have been extremely supportive of her career in all its stages.
