Minka Kelly Plays Coy About Dan Reynolds Romance During Christmas Movie Promo
In a recent appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends, actor Minka Kelly appeared to be completely caught off guard by a question about her relationship with Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds. The pair have been together since late 2022 and have often spoken glowingly about the relationship. Still, Kelly tried her best to avoid questions about the romance from Jenna Bush Hager.

On Tuesday, Nov. 18, Kelly joined Hager and guest co-host Olivia Munn on Today With Jenna & Friends to promote her new film, Champagne Problems. During their conversation, Hager shifted to questions about Kelly’s personal life.
“Speaking about the holidays and love in this romcom, you have a very big love in your life right now,” she said, per Page Six, adding, “Talk about your relationship if you feel comfortable.”
While Kelly has been with Reynolds since 2022, the question clearly surprised her. Hager then asked about a recent birthday message Reynolds, the lead singer for Imagine Dragons, posted about Kelly.
“Yeah, it was beautiful,” she said. “I’m very lucky. He’s a really good guy.”
She glanced off camera, possibly toward her publicist, and appeared hesitant to answer any further questions.
“It sounds like you don’t want to talk about it,” Hager said. “That’s fine.”
Munn then shared a memory of the time she worked with Reynolds, prompting Kelly to make one more comment about him before redirecting the conversation back to the film.
“He’s the best, they’re all the best,” she said. “And I think there’s something sort of similar to the movie, in the theme of love sort of hits you when you least expect it.”

Kelly clearly only wanted to speak about her role in Champagne Problems. She’s currently doing press for the film. In it, she stars as an executive who travels to France to acquire a champagne house. While there, she makes a connection with the owner’s son, played by Tom Wozniczka. She said the romance drew her to the role.
“When you least expect it, you end up sort of meeting the love of your life sometimes,” she told Coming Soon. “That’s the funny rub. Like they tell you, just stop looking for it and it’ll find you. That was one of my favorite parts about this: she had her own sort of life, her sister, and her own sort of world that she was focusing on, and then this guy shows up and throws everything off.”
The film hit Netflix on Nov. 19.

Kelly has most recently been linked to Reynolds. In the past, though, she has had a number of other celebrity partners, like Donald Faison, Taylor Kitsch, John Mayer, Derek Jeter, and Trevor Noah.
While Kelly and Reynolds are a relatively private couple, she has spoken very highly of their relationship.
