The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul is currently the subject of a domestic assault investigation involving herself and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. Paul and Mortensen have a tumultuous relationship, and this is not the first time they have had a domestic violence incident. SLOMW reportedly halted filming amid the investigation. The rest of the cast has reportedly reached a breaking point with Paul.

In 2023, Police arrested Paul following a domestic incident with Mortensen. She received misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal mischief, and commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child. Paul pleaded guilty to the charge of aggravated assault.

Now, Paul and Mortensen are involved in another domestic violence investigation. Per People, a spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department said “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th” and that “allegations have been made in both directions.”

Paul has reportedly denied that she was “violent” with Mortensen.

The other stars of ‘Mormon Wives’ are reportedly distancing themselves from Taylor Frankie Paul

In the aftermath of these allegations, filming for the fifth season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has reportedly halted. The rest of the show’s cast reportedly wants a break from Paul.

“They kind of all decided, as a unit, that they’re taking the production pause, that they don’t want to film right now,” a source close to production said. “I don’t think they care about her really right now. They’re just kind of like, ‘We’re done for right now.'”

The rest of the cast has come closer following this incident.

“The girls are very overwhelmed. They all banded together and they don’t want to come back right now,” the source said. “They were just getting tired of Taylor, honestly.”

The source noted that “everything was going smoothly” before the incident, but “the girls do have a resentment towards her.”

They added that “none of the women want to be associated with her” until her issues with Mortensen are resolved.

She will appear as the new Bachelorette this month

News of the domestic assault allegations broke shortly before the premiere of The Bachelorette. Paul will soon appear in the titular role season. She admitted she had some concerns about appearing on the series because of her children.
