The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Miranda Hope opened up about rumors one of the cast members leaked footage of Taylor Frankie Paul. The video, which Paul’s ex, Dakota Mortensen, shot in 2023, led to the cancellation of the upcoming Bachelorette season. Hope denied that she had anything to do with the leak, but she has some ideas about who might have done so.

Footage of Taylor Frankie Paul’s 2023 arrest leaked

In 2023, Paul was arrested following allegations of domestic violence from Mortensen. He alleged that she attacked him before throwing metal chairs at him. Mortensen added that one of the chairs hit Paul’s daughter.

Paul ultimately accepted a plea deal. While she pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault, the prosecution dropped the other charges against her.

A recently leaked video aligns with the allegations made by Mortensen. In the footage, Paul hits Mortensen and attempts to choke him. She then begins throwing chairs as her child cries in the background. At one point, Mortensen tells her, “Your daughter just got hit in the head by a metal chair.”

The leaked footage led to the cancellation of Paul’s season of The Bachelorette, which would have aired on March 22.

‘Mormon Wives’ star Miranda Hope denied having anything to do with the leak

Just before the footage leaked, news broke that both Paul and Mortensen had accused one another of domestic violence in February. This led to filming for season five of SLOMW to halt. Paul’s castmates were reportedly not happy with her, and some have wondered if one of the other women leaked the video. Hope denied this.

“Haha, the first time I saw that video was the same day you all did,” she wrote in the comment section of an Instagram video (via E! News). “None of us girls have ever been in possession of it or any other evidence.”

Hope was one of the first cast members to speak out against the video. She has also had personal problems with Paul over the years. Hope denied having anything to do with the leak, though she said she thinks she knows who did it.

“My intent with my statement was not to shade taylor, but to simply address that I do not support nor condone that behavior from either party,” she wrote. “Taylor and I have been in a good place and she has apologized for both the Shinia and Chase stuff! I have my theories on who leaked the video, but I can promise you it wasn’t any of the women.”

After the video leaked, Hope released a statement noting that she couldn’t support Paul after seeing the footage. Her only hope was that her children were safe.

“I’ve honestly been a little at a loss for words trying to process this all. Everything has been really heavy to see. Domestic violence and abuse of any kind is something I take very seriously,” she wrote. “As a human, and especially a mother, I cannot support that kind of behavior. My heart is with the children in this and I hope they’re safe, supported, and surrounded by love.”
