Mykelti Padron Confirms Season 21 of ‘Sister Wives’
Sister Wives viewers have spent the last several weeks debating whether season 20 would be the show’s last. In many ways, it felt like a natural place to end. The family has split, everyone has moved on with their lives, and Kody Brown completed his convoluted apology tour. Still, there is apparently more to say. At the very least, TLC is willing to bet on it. Mykelti Padron recently revealed that another season is in the works, and Janelle Browm isn’t going anywhere.
Mykelti Brown confirms that season 21 of ‘Sister Wives’ is in the works
Season 20 will not be the end of Sister Wives, claims Mykelti Padron. While fans watched a four-part “tell-all” special wrap-up on February 1, there is more to come eventually. Mykelti, along with her husband, Tony Padron, recently appeared on Growing Up in Polygamy and spilled the beans. She says the family will be back for at least one more season of Sister Wives; as for what comes after season 21, Mykelti Padron isn’t entirely sure.
She was pretty adamant that the family is guaranteed one more season of the show, but wasn’t entirely sure if the network had agreed to any additional work with the family. If there is more after seaosn 21, it is probably going to get pretty complicated. Most of the family’s children, all but three of whom are adults, are, for the most part, over filming, admitted Mykelti.
She claims Janelle Brown will be returning
Sure, the Brown family’s adult children largely don’t wish to be reality TV stars. Still, fans don’t have to worry about Janelle Brown leaving their TV screens now that season 20 has ended. A comment Janelle Brown made several weeks back sparked rumors that she was no longer filming for Sister Wives. Mykelti insists that it is not true. She claims Janelle is very much returning for season 21. She even revealed that she has been filming with TLC, albeit less frequently than was typical in the past.

Mykelti claims that Janelle “needs” the show because it is her only source of income. The comment felt like a bit of a dig at Janelle, who, like Mykelti and her mother, Christine Brown, had been selling diet drinks through an MLM for the last few years. Janelle has been trying to get a fresh-cut flowers business off the ground in recent months. While the business has t-shirts and a farm site, no single flower has been sold yet.
