Mystery Solved After Meghan Markle’s Good Friend Deletes Video of the Duchess
Meghan Markle’s surprise appearance at the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2026 Show during Paris Fashion Week still has fans buzzing.
While critics jumped on a few miscues and questionable choices the duchess made during her time in the City of Lights, others praised her fashion choices and overall look for the event.
That’s why when one of the people responsible for the former Suits star‘s look deleted a video showcasing some of what went into that evening, it raised more than a few eyebrows. But now the mystery is solved!
Here’s the reason Meghan’s pal took down the video after posting it.
Why Meghan Markle attended the Balenciaga Show in Paris
While many fans didn’t expect to see Prince Harry’s wife at Paris Fashion Week, she had a specific reason to attend the Balenciaga show.
The Duchess of Sussex’s spokesperson shared that Meghan attended the fashion house’s show to support her friend, new Balenciaga creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. Her rep said, “Over the years, the duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together, collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage.
“She has long admired his craftsmanship and modern elegance, and [that night] was no different. The evening reflects the culmination of many years of artistry and friendship, reflected in her support for his new creative chapter at Balenciaga.”
In an interview with The Cut, the Italian designer addressed the reports that Meghan invited herself to his show.
“She reached out and said she’d love to come to the show. There was no strategy or big orchestration,” Piccioli explained. “I didn’t tell anyone she was coming because I wanted it to stay a surprise. In fashion, real surprises are rare, and this one was beautiful.”
Who posted and then deleted a video of Meghan Markle?
Meghan’s pal and longtime makeup artist Daniel Martin was also in Paris to assist the duchess while she got ready for the big night. She even featured Martin in the clip she shared on social media, and later posted a video of his own about glamming up his dear friend.
Fans may recognize Martin as he was featured in both seasons 1 and 2 of With Love, Meghan. Express noted that in his now-deleted post, Martin described the look they were going for that evening, saying: “We just wanted to keep everything light, fresh, and radiant.”
He added: “[Meghan] just flew in, and your skin gets dehydrated from the plane, so I just wanted to bring some hydration back into her skin and just bring some life to it … I would love to get her in a lip one day, Meghan if you’re watching this, let’s do a lip, I’d love to see you in a lip.”
However, the video was taken down soon after it was posted.
An insider spoke to GB News about why Martin deleted the video. They explained that the reason is that he did not include all the beauty products that he used to create her look. The source confirmed that an updated version of the video will be shared soon.
