Nathan Griffith is headed to prison after pleading guilty to a felony. The former Teen Mom 2 star has a history of violent crimes but, until now, has largely avoided substantial prison time. That luck has run out. The guilty plea on a domestic battery by strangulation charge ensures that Nathan Griffith will be spending time behind bars.

Nathan Griffith pleads guilty to domestic battery

Nathan Griffith has faced a judge in Las Vegas to address charges stemming from a domestic violence incident last month. The veteran has officially pleaded guilty and will be spending time behind bars. According to Starcasm, Griffith is facing between 14 and 48 months in jail for attacking his ex-girlfriend, Anastasia Biddle. Griffith entered the guilty plea on May 19.

Griffith is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center while he awaits sentencing. He will be back in court on May 28 for sentencing. Once a judge hands down his sentence, officers will likely transfer him to a state prison facility. Nevada has seven state prisons and nine minimum-security camps. It is unclear what type of facility Griffith will end up in.

When was he arrested?

Nathan Griffith was arrested on April 23 after his ex-girlfriend, Anastasia Biddle, told police Griffith had wrapped his hands around her neck after luring her into a bedroom. Biddle told police that Griffith had been drinking and that she had wanted him to leave her home.

According to a police report obtained by The Ashley Reality Roundup Group, police observed marks on Biddle’s neck. They noted that Griffith was heavily intoxicated when they made contact with him. Biddle also claimed that Griffith had been sober for several months before the incident, but had been drinking heavily for a few days.

In the days following his arrest, Biddle took to social media to tell her side of the story after Jenelle Evans involved herself in the legal drama. Biddle even posted a recording to Griffith begging her not to show up in court so the charges would “go away.” It appears as though she did appear at an initial court hearing, but it’s unclear if she’s been actively involved in the case since then.

Teen Mom fans clocked the relationship as problematic back in January. The couple posted to social media, often proclaiming their feelings. At one point, Griffith proclaimed ownership over his partner and said privacy had no place in a committed partnership. Griffith is legally married to another woman. Followers theorized that the significant age gap (16 years), Griffith’s history of violence, and the speed at which the relationship developed were serious red flags.
