NBA Legend Reggie Miller Chooses Who Was More of an Icon: Michael Jackson or Prince?
Michael Jackson and Prince were two of the greatest entertainers of all time. Each revolutionized the industry in their own distinct ways.
The King of Pop was known for his unparalleled showmanship, iconic dance moves, and record-breaking albums, while “The Purple One” was a legendary multi-instrumentalist famous for mastering funk, rock, and R&B. They both created some of the most enduring soundtracks of the 20th century. And today, years after their untimely deaths, many still compare the two and debate who was more iconic.
Now, with so many people buzzing about the recently-released Jackson biopic, Michael, former NBA superstar Reggie Miller was asked the question some people find almost impossible to answer in naming who was the more iconic performer in their prime.
The question came during an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show in April, and the Hall of Famer seemed shocked that he was asked such a thing.
“I love them both don’t get me wrong,” Miller declared. “Prince was a bad dude, don’t get me wrong. But Mike is Mike. Come on, man. Mike can’t even walk outside. He can’t even walk outside, man, without people fainting.”
He added, “Now, Prince is making people faint for other reasons. Don’t get me wrong. I want to go to the club with Prince.”
Miller has always been a big Jackson fan. He even dressed up as him for Halloween one year, and he told Patrick he was looking forward to seeing the biopic.
