Things between Meghan Markle and Netflix seem to be getting worse by the day.

At one time, the streaming giant’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos was one of the duchess’s biggest cheerleaders. But times have changed. When the Sussexes’ $100 million contract expired in 2025, the streaming giant did not renew it and instead struck a “downgraded,” “first look” deal via the couple’s Archewell Productions company for any upcoming projects they produce.

Then, in March 2026, Netflix ended its partnership with Meghan’s As Ever brand.

“Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life,” a Netflix spokesperson said at the time. “As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world.”

Meanwhile, a rep for As Ever said the brand was “grateful” for Netflix’s support over the last year. But the business is now “ready to stand on its own” after “meaningful and rapid growth.”

Netflix’s decision to cut ties came after the “What We Watched” report for the streamer revealed the embarrassing numbers for the former Suits star‘s lifestyle series With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. According to the report, the program didn’t even crack the top 1,000 of Netflix’s most-watched shows in the second half of 2025. Based on the numbers, it goes without saying that the With Love series hasn’t been renewed.

There have also been claims that many of Meghan’s As Ever products, including her jams, candles, and wine, haven’t sold and the storage rooms at Netflix’s Hollywood campus are overflowing with the items. The employees have been allowed to take a lot of it home for free just to get rid of it.

“Apparently, there are two storage rooms packed with As ever product,” one insider told Page Six. “They’re literally just giving it away to employees — one (staffer) walked out with 10 products for free.”

“There’s so much overstock,” another source added.

Moreover, a recent story alleged that Sarandos was so “fed up” with Meghan and wouldn’t even take her calls without his lawyers present. That, however, was debunked by both Netflix and the Sussexes’ camp as “absolutely inaccurate” and “blatantly false.”

What can’t be disputed now though is the fact that Sarandos no longer follows the Duchess of Sussex or her As Brand on Instagram. Sarandos was one of the first people to follow Meghan when she made her big return to Instagram in 2025. And as the Daily Mail reported, Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, stopped following Prince Harry’s wife weeks ago.

As of this writing, Sarandos’ wife, Nicole Avant, still follows Markle on Instagram, but does not follow As Ever. A Netflix source told the Mail that Avant and Markle “are still friends.”

The Sussexes and Netflix have not commented since it was revealed that Sarandos unfollowed Meghan.
