Who Is New England Patriots Quarterback Drake Maye’s Wife, Ann Michael?
After a successful college career with the North Carolina Tar Heels, Drake Maye was selected by the New England Patriots with the third pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
He was named to the Pro Bowl in his first two seasons with the Pats and got the team back to its winning ways. Now that he’s the new franchise quarterback, fans in New England and beyond want to know more about the man many hope can help deliver success like the team’s last franchise signal caller, Tom Brady, did.

Drake and Ann Michael are childhood sweethearts
Drake met his future wife, then-Ann Michael Hudson, in 2015 when they were 12-year-olds in middle school. According to Ann Michael’s TikTok, they started “casually dating” back then.
They both attended William A. Hough High School together (before Drake transferred to Myers Park High School) and started appearing on each other’s Instagram accounts then.
After high school, they both enrolled in UNC, where Ann Michael was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority and earned a degree in business administration. Her younger brother, Tad, also played for the Tar Heels, serving as one of Drake’s backup quarterbacks during the 2023 season.
Ann Michael was with her man the night he was drafted and shared a post on social media about how proud she is of him and his accomplishments, writing, “Drake, words cannot describe how proud I am of you. What an incredible blessing it has been to be by your side through all of this. I love you and can’t wait for this next chapter! GO PATS!!”
When they got engaged and when they married
In January 2025, Drake got down on one knee and proposed to Ann Michael while the two were in Mexico.
Six months later, they said “I do” on June 21, 2025, at the Grandfather Golf and Country Club in Linville, North Carolina.
A video circulated online of the pair’s big day that showed the bride and groom smiling as they danced to Taylor Swift’s song “Love Story.”
Another image from their wedding that went viral is the photo of Drake posing in a football formation with his tuxedo-clad groomsmen.
Ann Michael said she gets compared to Gisele Bündchen
With Drake’s star rising in the league, some Pats fans are beginning to draw comparisons between his wife and the woman the team’s last superstar quarterback was married to.
Ann Michael recently launched a cooking show called Beyond Bakemas in which she makes some of her favorite recipes.
During one episode with Dave Portnoy of Barstools, Ann Michael admitted that she reads the comments on TikTok and they’re all positive. She also told Potnoy that she’s seen the Gisele Bündchen comparisons.
“Yeah, it’s always, ‘Gisele could never this, Gisele would never that,'” Ann Michael said. “I’m like, Gisele is pretty — she’s been pretty good, guys.”
