Who Is New York Knicks Star Mikal Bridges’ Girlfriend, Grainger Rosati?
Mikal Bridges had an interesting start to his NBA career that began the night he was drafted in 2018. The Villanova University alum was selected with the 10th overall pick by his hometown team, the Philadelphia 76ers. Not only was Bridges chosen by the team he grew up rooting for but his mother, Tyneeha Rivers, worked for the Sixers at the time.
But the family’s happiness and reality of Bridges playing in the City of Brotherly Love was short-lived because the 76ers ended up trading him to the Phoenix Suns that very same night.
Bridges was a member of the Suns until 2023 when he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets as part of the deal that sent superstar Kevin Durant to Phoenix. After one season there, Bridges was traded to the New York Knicks where he was reunited with his Villanova teammates, Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, who many fans dubbed the “Nova Knicks.”
Now, fans want to know about the athlete‘s life off the court including who he’s in a relationship with. Here’s more about Bridges and his longtime girlfriend, Grainger Rosati.
When Bridges and Rosati met and started dating
Bridges and Rosati are extremely private about their relationship and have always tried to keep those details under wraps. Although it’s not clear exactly when they started dating, they first met in college when they were both students at Villanova.
Their relationship became public in 2018 when Rosati accompanied Bridges to the NBA Draft. Fans remember how excited Tyneeha was when her son was drafted by the team she worked for, but Rosati was also seen on camera in a white dress just to her man’s left, standing up and clapping when his name was called.
After he was drafted, Rosati was spotted supporting Bridges at Suns games and later at his games in New York.
Rosati is an athlete as well
Rosati was born on Oct. 23, 1997, in Boonton Township, New Jersey, to parents Debby and Larry. She has four siblings: Audrey, Blaise, Sawyer, and Harper.
She graduated in 2016 from Mountain Lakes High School and enrolled in Villanova, where she studied business. Rosati said she chose the university because “It’s a great school for academics, and I wanted to be involved in a great community.”
Rosati was also a student athlete, joining the Wildcats women’s lacrosse team as a freshman.
In her first season, she played in all 16 games and scored eight goals with three assists, per her bio. The following year, she participated in all 16 games again and scored 14 goals with 7 assists for 21 points. During her junior year, Rosati played in every game, recording 17 goals, 10 assists, and 27 points. She finished that season second on the team in draw controls with 52 and earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team. In 2020, the midfielder served as team captain. Her senior season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but she still scored eight goals as well as four assists in the eight games the team played to close out her final year with the Wildcats.
What does Rosati do for a living?
When she was in college, Rosati worked as a customer service representative at LuMee, LLC. After graduating with a degree in Business Administration, she pursued a career in that field and today works for ADP, a human resource company, as an Elite Senior District Manager of CPA Relationships.
