Who Is NFL Quarterback Trey Lance’s Girlfriend, April Marie Clark?
After playing his college ball at North Dakota State, quarterback Trey Lance was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the third pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Lance began his first season with the team behind incumbent starter Jimmy Garoppolo, but when he went down with an injury, Lance took over. However, the rookie suffered an injury-prone season as well and the following year, his season ended in Week 2 with a serious ankle injury.
In 2023, Lance was traded to the Dallas Cowboys and sat behind veteran quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush, and didn’tbsee much playing time. In 2025, he signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, backing up starter Justin Herbert. In Week 13, Herbert injured his non-throwing hand. He had surgery to be ready to play against the Philadelphia Eagles the following week. But Lance had the first-team reps and it was announced that he was going to be used him in certain situations throughout that game.
Now, fans want to learn more about the Lance, including who he’s dating. Here’s what we know about the athlete’s girlfriend, April Marie Clark.
When Lance and Clark started dating
Lance and Clark have been together since at least early 2025 when they started appearing in social media pics together.
Lance also shouted his girlfriend out on Valentine’s Day and in a a heartfelt Instagram birthday post.
Fans spotted them vacationing together in Nassau, Bahamas, in March 2025 and soon after they two shared a carosel of photos, giving their followers a glimpse of their trip together.
In one pic they appear ready for a night out as Clark is wearing a long floral slip dress while Lance is donning a short sleeve button-down shirt and grey slacks. Another snap shows the couple smiling and dressed in all black outfits. The duo posted a casual pic on the beach together as well.
Clark is a social media influencer
There isn’t a ton of public information available about Clark. She appears to be a social media influencer as she boasts around 40,000 followers on Instagram.
She posts mostly about fashion or shots from her travels with her beau. She’s also thought to be a Christian as she has a bible verse in her Instagram bio.
The 1 John 4:8 Bible verse she cites states, “Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
Who Lance dated before Clark
Before Clark, the Lance was in a relationship with Brynn Chandler. She hails from San Diego and is the daughter of Diane Brodie and former NFL quarterback Chris Chandler. He was a signal caller for 17 years from 1988 to 2004 and led the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl in 1998. Brynn’s grandfather, John Brodie, was also a quarterback in the league for several years. He played for Lance’s old team, the San Francisco 49ers, from 1957 to 1973.
Brynn attended the University of Georgia, where she was on the Bulldogs volleyball team and studied communications.
Lance was also once linked to sports commentator Colin Cowherd’s daughter, Liv Cowherd. However, the two never confirmed if there was anything romantic between them.
