As the rift between the Beckham family grows wider, Brooklyn Beckham appears to be spending more time with his wife, Nicola Peltz, and her parents. While Brooklyn’s family is famous and wealthy, Nicola’s is no less influential. Her father’s businesses made them billionaires, and they’ve donated their wealth to political campaigns.
Nicola Peltz’s parents are billionaires
Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, is the founder of the asset management firm Trian Partners. His company and investments made him and his wife, Claudia Heffner, billionaires.
Nelson shares two children with his first wife, from whom he divorced in 1981. In 1985, he married Claudia, a former model. They share eight children. Like Nicola, their son Will is an actor, but the remainder of their children have jobs across various industries.
Nelson has established himself as an influential political donor. In 2020, he hosted a fundraiser for Donald Trump at his Palm Beach mansion that raised $10 million. While Nelson denounced Trump following the U.S. Capitol Riots on Jan. 6, he admitted he reluctantly voted for him in 2024.
“I don’t like Donald Trump,” an attendee at a dinner recalled Nelson saying, per The New Yorker. “He’s a terrible human being, but our country’s in a bad place, and we can’t afford Joe Biden.” He added that “we’ve all got to throw our support behind him.”
In 2024, Nelson donated $100,000 in support of Republican candidate Tim Scott. Per Newsweek, he donated $300,000 to Republican candidates in 2023 and $600,000 in 2022. In 2025, he donated $44,300 to the National Republican Congressional Committee and several thousand to Republican candidates. Still, he said he considers himself a centrist.
Her father recently broke his silence on the Beckham family feud
Several weeks after his son-in-law, Brooklyn Beckham, posted his explosive statement about his relationship with his parents, Nelson weighed in on the situation.
“Has my family been in the press lately?” he joked at The Wall Street Journal’s Invest Live event (per E! News). “I haven’t noticed that at all.”
He said he would not comment on the Beckham family, but expressed his support for his daughter and son-in-law.
“My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story,” he said. “That’s not for coverage here today, but I’ll tell you my daughter’s great, my son-in-law, Brooklyn is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.”

While Nelson has said he encourages his children to stay out of the public eye, Nicola has spoken glowingly about her parents.
“My parents have been together more than 40 years, and they always make fun of each other. My dad is just so cute. When my mom leaves the room, he’s always just like, ‘She’s so beautiful,’” she told Cosmopolitan. “They still act like young kids in love. Literally, they’re always making out, to the point where my brother’s like, ‘I’m closing my eyes. Stop making out.’ They’re so in love, and being able to grow up with that is so beautiful. I would never settle for anything other than that.”
