At this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Nicole Kidman watched on as Tate McRae performed. A body language expert explained that Kidman initially did not seem impressed by McRae’s performance. As it went on, though, she seemed to gain a little more appreciation for McRae.

Nicole Kidman seemed shocked by Tate McRae at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

McRae performed at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in a bright red corset, matching garters, and heels. According to body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino Guru, Kidman, who was in attendance, seemed to dislike this performance.

“Kidman gazes at McRae’s dancing with a mix of shock and disbelief,” she explained. “Kidman’s crossed legs form a protective fence around her, especially with both her hands gathered on her knee. All her limbs are placed in front of her protectively, suggesting that she’d rather be anywhere else. Kidman is certainly uncomfortable and is not sure where to put herself.”

She said that Kidman hardly seemed to believe what she was seeing.

“She then lowers her eyes, willing herself to look away from McRae’s choreography, but the Australian star’s eyes snap right back onto the stage, wide and round, open to their fullest,” she said. “Those fully rounded eyes indicate shock and surprise.”

As the performance went on, though, Kidman appeared to warm to it. A change in her expression showed that McRae impressed her.

“Kidman then opens her mouth into a surprised ‘O’ shape, but now a little smile joins the expression, indicating that Kidman is not only shocked, but she’s also very, very impressed.”
