North West can have anything she wants, and apparently that includes Hermès handbags if she’s interested. Yesterday, reports surfaced that Hermès put its foot down and denied North West an ultra-rare handbag worth nearly $100,000. Those reports are allegedly pure fiction. No one, including Hermès, turned the budding fashionista away. It is likely that her mother, Kim Kardashian, is free to purchase whatever she wants for herself, her preteen, or her other children. It wouldn’t even be the first time North, just 12, has been given access to a Hermès bag. She’s been spotted rocking Hermès in the past.

North West was not denied a rare Hermès purse

Yesterday, an alleged Hermès insider claimed North West had been denied access to a rare Kelly bag. The report, which appeared in several media outlets, claimed a sales associate was told to deny Kim Kardashian a rare Kelly handbag after the company learned she was looking to purchase the high-end purse for her 12-year-old. The debate was swift, with social media users theorizing that Hermès didn’t want a youngster spotted carrying its goods.

While the debate was lively, it apparently was not necessary. TMZis reporting that Kardashian has a Hermès contact, an extensive collection of her own, and a good enough relationship with the company to get her hands on pretty much anything she wants.

She’s been spotted carrying a Hermès bag in the past

While North West doesn’t own the rare Kelly bag that reports claim Kim Kardashian was trying to purchase, she does have some experience with the brand. In 2019, a then-six-year-old North West made waves in the tabloids when she stepped out with her mom. The tiny tot was decked out in an all-white outfit and accessorized it with a white Birkin bag, which she carried with great care.

It wasn’t even her first brush with the brand. As a mere toddler, North got her first taste of Hermès. In 2014 she was tasked with customizing a Herbag for her mom. North finger-painted the expensive purse to give as a gift. Kim Kardashian was spotted carrying it shortly after receiving the sentimental present.

It’s unclear if the white Birkin that North carried as a kindergartener is officially hers. Still, it wouldn’t be crazy to think she was gifted something so expensive. Kardashian and Kanye West are known for giving expensive and, in many cases, age-inappropriate gifts. They gifted North with Michael Jackson’s iconic jacket when she was barely old enough for school. They paid $65,000 for the present. More recently, Kim was lambasted on social media for gifting her preteen a set of grillz worth more than $100,000. The expensive and wildly inappropriate gifts are likely to keep coming, too.
