Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West’s daughter, North West, shared with fans several new looks in 2025 via social media.

Whether or not North, as a preteen, should have ever had an Instagram account has been a highly debated topic, but the decision was up to her parents. Her mother and father allowed it and on Dec. 20, North’s page under her own name was created with a bio on her account that read: “managed by parents.” However, because everything that goes on social media can be dissected by anyone, North received some criticism.

The 12-year-old got backlash for a real dermal finger piercing and fake tattoos. In one post, she clapped back at her haters by lip-syncing along to an audio from reality star Chrisean Rock, saying, “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.” She then captioned her clip, “This is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing.”

But on Jan. 5, North’s Instagram disappeared. There’s no word yet on if that was her choice to delete it or her parents’ decision. North isn’t totally off social media though. She still shares a TikTok with Kim that she’s pretty active on, and her recent videos on that platform have fans in disbelief.

North debuts new piercing, black grill, and 106 carats

North continued to debut her edgy looks on the “KimandNorth” TikTok account, but her recent videos have surprised a lot of people for another reason.

North’s mom has been absent from her daughter’s latest videos as North has been seen dancing and lip-syncing with one of her friends. One video has garnered her more views than she’s ever had for a video not featuring Kim, and that’s her Dec. 31 TikTok, which has over 23 million views and counting. North, who has been sporting long blue hair for a while, also showed off a bridge piercing, a black grill, and a 106-carat diamond skull pendant. She and her friend wore miniskirts, black tights, and boots with several silver, ball-shaped piercings on their faces.

Their facial piercings are believed to be fake.

But what stunned fans the most doesn’t have anything to do with North’s appearance. People are more surprised at what Kim allowed for many of those new videos.

Fans were stunned that the comments weren’t turned off

Kim has always turned the comments off on their TikToks but recently, for some reason, she’s decided to leave them on.

Fans flooded the comments section of the clips, writing, “Guys we’re allowed to speak now,” and “First time commenting on north’s post kinda nervous,” and “Here before Kim turns the comments off.”

Kim previously spoke about how North reacts to what some people say about her online and doesn’t let trolls bother her for the most part.

“She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this, and I don’t really care that they don’t like … my blue hair or this or that. She’s really confident,” the SKIMS founder explained during an October episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast.
