Dakota Johnson dated quite a few musicians throughout her career. She was recently linked with Machine Gun Kelly. While fans wished for the actress to address the rumors in public, she rather slammed the gossip that often rode on her name. Moreover, she shunned the whispers with a direct three-word remark. 

According to Entertainment Weekly, Johnson got candid about her love life during an appearance on Vogue’s The Run-Through podcast. The Fifty Shades of Grey star revealed that she is aware of the ongoing talks discussing her personal life. 

“Even if I go to dinner with my manager or my lawyer, it’s like, ‘Seen with mystery man,’” she joked. However, she confirmed that the gossip does not matter to her. The 36-year-old declared, “I also don’t care.” 

Johnson clarified that she does not need to address the rumors swirling around her. The actress noted that if she does, people will come up with a different gossip. She said, “I think it’s just futile. People are gonna believe what they wanna believe, and I don’t have the energy to fight for that.” 

The Verity star added that she prefers to focus on something else and not the talk about her. Johnson continued to slam the whispers, saying, “Every day, there’s something on the internet that’s ridiculous and true or not true, and I don’t care.” Furthermore, instead of clarifying whether the ongoing rumors about her romantic life were true, the actress asked the gossip mongers to “get a life.”

During the podcast, Johnson also took a moment to spill the beans about her relationship with social media. She shared that she “had a moment of being on social media just for fun and laughs” in her 20s. While she enjoyed the clever humor, she announced that she “just don’t f— with it.”

“I feel really uncomfortable with the constant documenting of people’s lives,” Johnson mentioned. However, she could not completely stay away from social media due to the nature of her work. 

While the actress did not directly address what her love life looks like at the moment, insiders claimed that she has a man in her life. According to People, the rumors around Johnson and MGK began earlier this month. A source revealed that the two hit it off at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. 

The insider claimed that while the two had met earlier, they witnessed a spark between one another at the Madison Square Garden ceremony. The source further added that the two celebrities “have been hanging out and seeing each other under the radar for months now.” They claimed that both the actress and the singer started off as friends and exchanged texts. However, “Now they’re spending more time together,” they added. 

Johnson and MGK were rumored to be “smitten” with each other at the time. “They haven’t put a label on their relationship yet; they are just seeing where spending time together will take them,” the source added.

Johnson was last linked with musician Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury. However, sources claimed that the two broke up a while ago. She also dated Chris Martin for eight years before the former couple called it off last year.

On the other hand, MGK was previously engaged to Megan Fox for a few years. After a long on-again-off-again engagement, the two parted ways.
