Towns’ girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, recently took to Instagram to share the story behind her very special birthday gift to him.
Woods revealed that Towns once told her that if he could drive any car, he’d drive the car his mother owned when he was growing up. She took that information and made it happen, sourcing a 1990s Isuzu Trooper and having it shipped across the country. From there, she had the old school SUV restored. The project was completed just in time for Towns’ 30th birthday on November 15. She gifted him the vehicle, much to his surprise.
Towns lost his mother in 2020 due to COVID-19 complications, and has mourned the loss since. While Isuzu never had a massive foothold in the United States’ car market, the Trooper did have a cult following. The car was produced from 1981 until 2002, when the company ceased production. Today, Isuzu sells only commercial vehicles in the United States, but sells passenger vehicles in other markets.
