Salma Hayek is embracing turning 60—and doing it in style. The Frida star is not shying away from showing off her makeup-free look and gray hair as she flaunted them in her new skinny-dipping snaps. Despite the changes in her appearance, fans were amazed to learn that she had turned 60.
She recently took to Instagram to share two snaps from her time in the outdoors. In the first picture, she lay partially submerged in water. The Desperado star smiled and looked away from the camera, putting her flawless skin on display.
In the second picture, she gave fans a glimpse of her physique at 60. Photographed from behind, she appeared to enjoy her time in the water and hid her face with her hands. She wrote, “60 and grateful,” in the caption after reaching the milestone age on September 2.
Her age-defying pictures left her fans amazed, with an Instagram user asking her, “You kidding me right now?” Another fan penned, “Salma Hayek is 60 years old? Wow! Hayek’s flawless appearance throughout her career in showbiz often raised speculations about her opting for cosmetic procedures. While the actress has denied going under the knife, she did opt for a treatment to streamline her neck last year. According to The Cut, the Grown Ups star revealed that she has long relied on radio-frequency treatments.
She said, “I’ve been very consistent and very simple,” before admitting to using the treatment throughout her time in showbiz. “I hit a plateau. I told myself, ‘It’s time,’” she said, after revealing that she was not comfortable with the appearance of her neck. The actress shared, “It was starting to look like a turkey.”
With the help of a non-surgical procedure, she achieved the desired lift from a regular Ultherapy. The actress shared how her treatment received a thumbs-up from Victoria Beckham. She shared how the fashion designer immediately noticed the difference in her appearance, which left her “pleased.”
Besides the therapy, Hayek revealed that she has a unique skincare hack. She shared that she does not wash her face after waking up in the morning. When pointed out that her face could be dirty, she asked, “Why would it get dirty while I’m sleeping?”
She further revealed that she found pleasure in applying massaging cream on her face and body. While moisturizing, she also stretches her muscles as a part of her exercise routine. “It’s an organic way of working out,” the singer insisted.
Besides entering a new decade, Hayek was also promoted to grandmother after her stepson welcomed his first baby. According to People, she shared a picture of her cuddling the newborn named François while he was asleep. “We are blessed to welcome the fourth living generation of Francois’. Although I will call him Panchito. He seems to love it, and I cannot love him more,” she wrote in the caption.
Hayek shares her daughter Valentina with her husband, François-Henri Pinault. She is also the stepmother of Pinault’s three kids: François, Mathilde, and Augustin.
