The actor’s erratic posts, creepy messages, and decision to scrub the profile completely have everyone worried. This isn’t the first time that Beckinsale’s online life has caused serious concern among those who follow her. She’s alluded to serious troubles in her life recently. Kate Beckinsale’s Instagram account took a dark turn this week
On February 26, Kate Beckinsale’s Instagram account took an odd turn. The actor wiped all of her glam shots, personal photos, and random uploads from her profile and uploaded a single image that read “You Win.” The actor then took to her Instagram Stories to share a series of strange screenshots.
The posts shared on Stories appeared to be screenshots about privacy and hidden cameras. According to TMZ, the first outlet to report on the odd uploads, the screenshots focused almost exclusively on privacy violations in a shared home. Those Stories have since expired, and the single upload has been pulled.
It is unclear what Beckinsale’s living arrangement is at the moment. While she’s had several high-profile romances, she does not appear to be dating anyone at the moment. At least, she doesn’t appear to be in a public relationship. Her only child, Lily, is an adult.
She has since scrubbed the account almost entirely
While Kate Beckinsale’s Instagram account displayed a strange message and stories briefly this week, all that has suddenly changed. The change doesn’t seem to be a good one, though. After the odd theme changeover, the actor, or someone controlling her account, has scrubbed all of her posts. The only thing left on her profile are two reels.
Neither Reel appears to be connected to the recent strange activity. One video is a clip from Beckinsale’s November 2025 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The other, posted in September 2024, is a trailer for Beckinsale’s movie, Canary Black. Amazon Prime Video released the film in October 2024. There doesn’t seem to be a reason the Reels were left up.
The actor has made fans worry before.
The recent posts and sudden scrubbing of her Instagram profile are not the first signs that something is amiss with Kate Beckinsale. Back in June, the starlet used Instagram to reveal she was going through something deeply traumatic after fans voiced concerns about her ever-shrinking frame. While some followers were concerned about an eating disorder, Beckinsale told comemnters tha the “body keeps the score” and that sh ewas workign thorugh something deeply painful. She failed to elaborate on exactly what was going on. She’s been open about everything else, though, including her harrowing on-set experiences.
Nearly a year earlier, Beckinsale addressed rapid weight loss following a six-week hospital stint. The 51-year-old said that grief and stress had led to her rapid weight loss. She pointed to her mother’s cancer diagnosis and the death of a family member as pain points in her life. Her hospitalization for an esophageal tear in March 2024 appeared to be related. She spent six weeks receiving medical care. Her mother, Judy Loe, died in July 2025.
