Offset is officially on the mend. The former Migos rapper has been released from a Florida hospital, days after being shot outside of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The incident has left Offset feeling a bit introspective, as evidenced by a note he penned to thank his supporters. Still, no one has been charged directly with the shooting.

Offset has been released from the hospital

Offset is feeling better after being shot on April 6. The famed rapper has been officially released from a Florida hospital and will continue recovering at home. While Offset’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, they did require close monitoring by hospital staff. The somewhat lengthy medical stay apparently had the rapper feeling a bit introspective.

Following his release, Offset took to Instagram to thank all of his well-wishers. In a single post after wiping his profile, he said he was going to focus on his family and his music while keeping an eye on winning. Based on his thoughts, it seems the shooting might have altered his perspective a bit. In the months leading up to the shooting, Offset was dealing with significant drama, including with his estranged wife, Cardi B.

Cardi B has chosen not to comment on her ex’s injuries. The duo does share three children, though Cardi B once claimed to be parenting them entirely solo.

No one has been charged directly with the shooting

Initial reports lacked detail about the moments leading up to the shooting. Eyewitnesses later stepped forward to claim that there was a fist fight involving Offset and another man right before the shooting. While it’s unclear exactly what prompted the fight, Lil Tjay was later arrested on disorderly conduct charges and released from a  Broward County lockup the next morning. It is assumed he was the man fighting with Offset.

Rumors suggest the arrest is directly linked to the incident that led to Offset’s shooting, though no one has been directly charged with that crime. A lawyer for the “Calling My Phone” rapper told Billboard that Lil Tjay had not been charged in the shooting incident and had not been charged. Lil Tjay mouthed off about the incident after his release from jail. Though he denied shooting Offset, he didn’t deny seeing him get shot.
