Offset is going to be spending a lot of time in court as 2025 comes to a close. Not only does the rapper have his ongoing divorce battle with Cardi B to contend with, but he has also run afoul of the Internal Revenue Service. If all of that weren’t bad enough, he’s now facing a lawsuit from a security guard who claims he was injured when Offet physically attacked him. Here is everything we know at the moment.

A security guard files a lawsuit against Offset

Offset has a new court battle to deal with. A security guard employed at MedMen LAX, a dispensary in Los Angeles, filed a lawsuit against Offset on November 1 over an incident that occurred in March. TMZ obtained the court filing. According to the documents, Jim Sanchez, a security guard, says he had to be taken to the hospital after Offset physically attacked him and caused a massive fight while he was working.

Sanchez claims he encountered Offset at the dispensary and everything was fine until he asked to see the rapper’s identification. The plaintiff alleges that, at that point, Offset became increasingly agitated and verbally abusive. The argument escalated with Offset hitting Sanchez in the face. He claims several members of the rapper’s entourage jumped in and hit him, as well.

Offset is not denying that an altercation happened

Offset, for his part, has never denied that an altercation happened. The rapper was willing to admit he was very much at the location and that a fight broke out back in March. Still, at that time, he insisted he was not the one at fault. According to several sources, when the incident went down, Offset claimed he was attacked by the security guard first. He alleged that he only retaliated in self-defense. The rapper claimed the guard spat on him and physically assaulted him, which led to the melee.

Offset and his team have not issued a public statement since the filing. The new lawsuit is far from the only problem he is dealing with at the moment, though. News of the filing comes on the heels of reports of significant tax trouble. His ongoing divorce from Cardi B, who is currently expecting a baby with her beau, Stefon Diggs, also remains problematic. Offset will need to juggle all three of these issues at once, it seems.
