Olivia Rodrigo has confirmed her relationship with Julian Croonenberghs after the two were photographed being affectionate during an afternoon date in a New York City park.

Rumors have been swirling about the pair for weeks, and on July 26, they didn’t try to hide their romance while enjoying some PDA during their afternoon in Brooklyn together. Now, an expert is weighing in after previously saying that Rodrigo and Croonenberghs appeared guarded and still getting used to one another during their last outing.  

Inbaal Honigman is a body language expert. She has appeared in the media for more than two decades, offering her expertise and perspectives on several pop culture figures for Big Brother’s Little Brother, Elle Magazine, and talkSPORT radio, to name a few.

Speaking on behalf of Casino.org Canada, Honigman told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Olivia and Julian are showing each other, in many ways, that they can depend on one another during this sunny day date. When they walk together side by side, they are perfectly in step. When his left leg rises, so does hers, and when his right leg follows, she takes the same step, with the same leg, at the same time. They’re moving at the same pace, matching perfectly. 

“This way of walking, in step, bodies facing forward and legs moving in unison, signifies emotional alignment, shared goals, and a unity of minds for the couple. At one point, Julian and Olivia make eye contact, which shows their intimacy, and she bites her lower lip, a sign of desire and anticipation as if she can’t wait for what lies ahead for the pair.”

Honigman continued, “While they’re walking, they’re so close that their arms are touching. This desire to feel each other’s closeness even while simply walking, indicates that they’re seeking each other’s presence constantly. In one photo, Julian is seen placing his body slightly behind Olivia, sending her the message that he’ll protect her; he’s got her back.

“Olivia and Julian are seen sitting side by side on the grass, and then they create a ‘bridge’ between them – going both ways! At one point, she reaches out and touches him with her hand. At another point, he does the same. The way that they reach for each other even while they’re just sitting and chatting shows that they’re learning to depend on each other emotionally.”

The expert concluded, “Olivia and Julian are building a bond of trust together. The most moving scenes from their summery date are when Julian fully envelops Olivia with his body, surrounding her and creating a private cocoon for the songstress with his back, arms, and legs.

“This is a protective move, showing her that he’ll take care of her, and that she can depend on him. Julian shows his support in a physical way, letting her lean on him and keeping Olivia safe.”
