The world watched as Breezy Johnson skied down the slopes to a gold medal in the Milan-Cortina Olympics. Then, just days after her magnificent run, when she crossed the finish line of the women’s Super-G event, Johnson’s partner, Connor Watkins, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Johnson happily accepted as the crowd around them cheered.

The proposal seen around the globe had many buzzing about her beautiful ring.

Now, Neil Dutta, Managing Director of the U.K. jewelry retailer Angelic Diamonds, is sharing several details about the Olympian’s engagement ring, including how much it’s worth.

Dutta told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “The ring features a vivid blue sapphire center stone set in white gold, paired with a curved pavé band. The curved band is a purposeful design choice, as it frames the center stone and softens the overall shape, rather than presenting it as a traditional upright solitaire.

“Sapphire gives strong color without needing a large size, so the focus becomes hue and clarity rather than carat weight. If the center stone is natural with good saturation, I would expect the ring to sit in the region of $15,000 to $25,000, depending on stone quality.”
