Is Orlando Bloom Hollywood’s Most Eligible Bachelor Again?
Fans were shocked when it was announced that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split and ended their engagement after nearly 10 years together.
On June 25, a source told US Weekly, “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is, of course, upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
Days later, Bloom headed to Venice, Italy, to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding. Sources close to the star said that he was single and ready to mingle.
Since then, Perry has moved on with the former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, but Bloom hasn’t been spotted with anyone new. So is he still Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor?
Bloom was once dubbed ‘America’s hottest bachelor’
Bloom was the heartthrob of the early 2000s. He starred in several films including Elizabethtown, Romeo and Juliet, and two of the most iconic action and fantasy franchises, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lord of the Rings. He embodied the mix of adventure and elegance–swords and lyres, starlit beaches and tuxedos. The English actor’s appeal reached across the pond, as several publications dubbed him “America’s hottest bachelor.”
In 2010, Bloom was off the market when he married former Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr. They welcomed a son, Flynn, in 2011, but divorced in 2013. He and Perry started dating three years later.
When he was in Italy for the Amazon’s founder’s wedding, Bloom was linked to actress Sydney Sweeney who also attended the nuptials. They were spotted walking through the streets together. But as body language experts pointed out they didn’t looke like they were romantically involved at all observing, “There’s some distance between them — they’re not holding hands or showing any sort of PDA … From a non-verbal perspective, there are no signs of reciprocal liking, which can be shown through eye contact or holding hands.”
Turns out the actors were walking with several other people who also attended the affair including Scooter Braun, who Sydney is now dating.

Now that Bloom is back on the market, he’s considered by many as one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors again. But who has taken the crown as Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor of 2025?
That is none other than Ben Affleck.
Several publications gave the title to the Argo star now that he is divorced from Jennifer Lopez. He has since responded to the title with good humor.
Another celebrity who held the “most eligable bachelor” label for a few years is Micheal B. Jordan. He is still considered atop the list for a lot of fans.
As for Bloom, his next chapter is just beginnng. Whether it ends it with a ring or the joy of self-discovery, one thing is clear: Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor is a title that is meant change over time.
