People Are Siding With SZA in Her Feud With Nicki Minaj
After Nicki Minaj posted about Terrence “Punch” Henderson, she turned the heat on his former client, SZA. Minaj claimed Henderson has bullied her for years, and then expressed anger at a SZA post she interpreted as being about her. The pair have since exchanged words on social media in an escalating feud. Though Minaj has a loyal fan base, many people are siding with SZA in this fight.
SZA and Nicki Minaj are feuding online
On July 15, Minaj claimed Henderson, the president of the Top Dawg entertainment label and SZA’s former manager, had been bullying her on social media.
“Yall remember that man from tde who kept bullying me on Twitter for no reason? We have the receipts. lol. I never even responded to him. What was his name again, yall? I’m going to give him a nickname. Ima call him ‘Minus 30 million’ from now on. #JusticeForDemoree.”
Not long after, SZA posted, “Mercury retrograde .. don’t take the bait lol silly goose.” While she didn’t name Minaj, the rapper took it as a slight and took aim at SZA. She told SZA to go draw her “freckles back on” and said she looked and sounded “like she got stung by a f***ing bee.”
SZA denied that her post was about Minaj. She also responded to one of Minaj’s post to say, “I don’t give a f*** bout none of that weird s*** you popping.”
In a series of posts, Minaj continued to hit at SZA’s music.
“Wait. Does Sza think she’s more successful than me?” she wrote. “Lol yall catch me up pls. Sza if every song you’ve ever done vanished right now the music business wouldn’t even miss you. I’ve been to countries that never heard of you. I know you’re not THAT stupid are you?”
SZA responded by noting that Minaj has asked her for features in the past, and claimed she contributed to the song “Feeling Myself.”
People are siding with SZA over Nicki Minaj
Minaj has a loyal fan base willing to go to war for her online. Still, many people have sided with SZA. A number of people have gotten tired of Minaj’s long list of feuds.
“Nicki Minaj hates successful women in rap unless they bend the knee to her,” wrote one Reddit user. “She knows her time is over because the new wave of successful female artists aren’t beefing, they’re collaborating and networking. She can only act tough with popstars, who now don’t even give her time. Her bars sound like nursery rhymes when you compare them to the current rap divas.”
Some people said Minaj’s team needed to step in to stop her. They felt her behavior was embarrassing.
“Nicki crash out. PR team needs to step in,” one person wrote. “She’s ruining her brand. She’s making headlines today but tomorrow everyone will stop talking about her and not have a good image of her anymore.”
“Some celebrities need to give their PR team their social media passwords,” wrote another person. “Or maybe make an anon account if they really want to post. Seems too easy to get caught up in toxic social media norms.”
Many others defended SZA as an artist.
“SZA literally has double the number of monthly listeners that Nicki has and yet Nicki is trying to claim that SZA is not as relevant as she is in 2025? If she wasn’t relevant, Nicki wouldn’t be asking her for features. If she didn’t like SZA’s music or think she was talented, then why have SZA write for her? Nicki is just saying whatever she can at this point just because she can and not because it makes any sense.”
Even people who aren’t familiar with SZA were on her side.
“Bout to go stream Sza’s whole discography, where should I begin,” asked one person.
Who else has Nicki Minaj feuded with?
This is far from Minaj’s only feud. She has released diss tracks about Megan Thee Stallion and got into a physical altercation with Cardi B. She also famously called out Miley Cyrus at the 2015 VMAs.
Minaj has also clashed with Lil Kim, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Meek Mill, and Remy Ma.
