When authorities raided Sean “Diddy” Combs’ hotel room, they discovered a drug called pink cocaine, or pink ketamine. The drug is bright pink in color and has been linked to other celebrities in recent months. Combs reportedly had it in possession, and a recent lawsuit alleges he required staff to carry it with them while in the home. What is the drug and how does it affect those who use it?

Authorities seized pink ketamine from Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ home

Authorities took Combs into custody at the Park Hyatt Hotel in New York. When they searched the room, they found pink cocaine. Other names for the drug include Tusi, Tuci, Tusibi, and Tucibi. Though the drug is called pink cocaine, it is a mix of substances and is likely dyed with pink food coloring.

“The first piece that we almost always see in pink, or pink cocaine, is ketamine – a dissociative drug, something that makes people feel like they’re detached from reality,” former DEA agent Bill Bodner told ABC News. “The second component is psychedelics.”

It is both a depressant and a stimulant, and sometimes doesn’t even include cocaine. Per WebMD, researchers have found it typically includes ketamine, and can include MDMA, methamphetamine, opioids, or new psychoactive substances.

“I think the most dangerous aspect of it, is that you typically see stimulants, which might be methamphetamine or cocaine, mixed with other substances like ketamine that are sedating, meaning they have the opposite effect on the body,” Bridget Brennan, the special narcotics prosecutor for New York told NBC News. “If you have a drug that’s telling your heart to speed up and another drug that’s telling your heart to slow down, that’s a problem.”

A lawsuit filed by Combs’ former producer, Rodney Jones, alleged that Combs “required all employees from the butler, the chef to the housekeepers, to walk around with a pouch or fanny pack filled with cocaine, GHB, ecstasy, marijuana gummies (100-250 mg’s each), and Tuci (a pink drug that is a combination of ecstasy and cocaine).”

What did authorities seize from Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ hotel room besides pink ketamine

Pink cocaine was far from the only thing authorities seized from Combs’ hotel room. During Combs’ trial for sex trafficking and racketeering, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York presented photos from the hotel.

Per People, they allegedly found baby oil, light sources, lubricant, and a bottle of medication containing pink powder.

The drug was also linked to Liam Payne

Recently, pink cocaine was linked to One Direction’s Liam Payne. Payne died on Oct. 16, 2024, after a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. An autopsy found that Payne had a number of drugs in his system at the time of his death, including cocaine, benzodiazepine, crack, and pink cocaine.
