PK Kemsley Said He’s the Only Reason Dorit Joined ‘RHOBH’: ‘I Wanted to Show Her Off’
PK Kemsley said he thinks that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills contributed to the end of his marriage to Dorit Kemsley. In some ways, he wonders if this is his fault. He pushed Dorit to join the cast of the show. He said that if it wasn’t for him, his estranged wife likely never have gone on reality television.

When PK looks at his life now, he said he wonders how differently things might have gone if Dorit had never gone on RHOBH. He said that he convinced her to join the show.
“When you are dealing with the consequences of your actions, whether it be Dorit’s actions or my actions, ultimately, who lit the fire? I lit the fire,” PK said on the We Need to Talk podcast. “Because I put her on the show. She didn’t want to go on the show.”
He said that a friend pitched the show to him as a way to make it in Los Angeles.
“I had a very dear friend of mine who’s another one of these super unbelievable kings of industry, this particular guy in the music business, but about as big as you can get, and when we went to L.A., he said to me, ‘There are only three entry points in L.A., PK: Money, power, and celebrity,’” he said. “That’s what he told me, and I’m like, ‘Okay.’”
He said that he also wanted to show off his wife to people.
“I, first of all, believed that I had the most beautiful, charismatic, sharp, ferociously ambitious wife, and I wanted to show her off,” he said.

PK said that the reality show started to become a problem in their lives.
“That show was fun until it wasn’t,” PK said. “I was blind to what was going on, what was happening. I didn’t act soon enough, and because my personality is a double down guy — I don’t like walking away from a bet, get this bet — I had no regard for the global awareness of this show.”
While he doesn’t solely blame the show for his divorce, he believes that it has changed Dorit.
“I’m not blaming that show [for] my divorce or my relationship or who I think Dorit is now versus who I think she was, or who I am now,” he said. “I think the biggest question that I have that will never be answered is that, is Dorit where she was always going to be and always going to end up, or was I responsible for putting her in that world and then that world created what happened now?”
He also accused her of living an overly expensive lifestyle
In court documents, PK claimed that Dorit spent over $1 million on luxury goods in the past year. Per Us Weekly, this is roughly 80% of Dorit’s available funds. His accusations about her spending come amid rumors that her house is facing foreclosure.
He claimed that she has not been making mortgage payments on the home, and has only made one utility payment. PK appears to be pursuing the sale of the house. He has been making the mortgage and utility payments.
