Prince William and Kate Heckled Over Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor During Appearance
The dark cloud that has been hanging over the royal family because of all the drama with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor over the last few months hasn’t gone away yet.
King Charles’ younger brother agreed to relinquish his Duke of York title in October 2025. Two weeks later, the palace announced that the monarch was stripping his sibling of the prince title he has held since birth and evicting Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, from their Windsor Park mansion.
The statement released on Oct. 30, 2025, read: “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor … [Andrew’s] lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation.”
Andrew is set to move out of Royal Lodge later this month, but he’s still making headlines each day regarding his new living arrangements and for being photographed riding around royal estates on horseback. So now, other members of the family are having to hear about him when they attend public events as was the case for Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) during an engagement in Scotland.
The future king and his wife were heckled as they arrived for their last engagement at a pub in the country. Large crowds had gathered outside the Gothenburg pub to catch a glimpse of the pair, and upon seeing them, one man shouted: “How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein? Have you been covering up for Andrew?”
The heckler was quickly silenced by other people standing around and security officers who approached him.
Andrew will be vacating his 30-room property for a five-bedroom house in Norfolk in the coming days..
