Prince William Takes Subtle Dig at Prince Harry With Family Comment During Appearance
Prince William visited the Army Air Corps at the Wattisham Air Base in Suffolk, England, recently and during his visit made a comment about families that many took as a dig at his brother, Prince Harry.
The Express reported that while there, William, who has taken on the role of the new colonel in chief, watched a combat PT session and examined the technology for tracking the exact locations of soldiers taking part in NATO training in Norway. He also spoke to service members about the pace of life.
One soldier told the prince that it’s a “mixed bag,” to which William replied: “Families okay? See you enough? Some of them might not want to see you that much. It’s a mixed bag sometimes.”
The future king and his younger sibling are reportedly still not on good terms and haven’t spoken to each other in years.
William has never commented publicly about his relationship with his estranged brother, but a friend a of the Prince of Wales previously told the Daily Beast, he has not forgiven the Duke of Sussex as he “feels utterly betrayed … He hates him for what he has done to the family in the books and interviews … It’s no secret William would prefer it if Harry never stepped foot in England again.”
