Princess Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie‘s names have been in the news for weeks now as their parents’ ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have come to light. Now, Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are making headlines as rumors swirl that the two have been living apart and are headed for a divorce.

The princess and Edo tied the knot on July 17, 2020. They welcomed their first daughter, Sienna Elizabeth, in September 2021, followed by another baby girl, Athena Elizabeth Rose, in January 2025. Edo also has a son, Christopher Woolf nicknamed “Wolfie,” from his previous relationship with architect Dara Huang.

While Beatrice’s hubby was said to be the person she leaned on the past few years when her father’s association with Epstein became international news, the two have been spending a lot of time apart the last couple of months.

Edo, who is a property developer, has been traveling overseas for work since January. He shared a clip from a building site in West Palm Beach, Florida, where a luxury hotel is reportedly being built on Instagram, as well as ocean views from different parts of the Sunshine State. But now with publications like the Daily Mail and others reporting that they are “navigating” distance between them, someone who knows the couple decided to speak up and set the record straight.

“The only thing Bea and Edo are navigating are their busy jobs and looking after their children!” A friend of Beatrice and Edo’s told Hello! “They’ve both had recent stints working abroad and like so many working parents, have been balancing work with looking after the kids. Recent reports that things aren’t good between them are not true at all. Things are great between them and the only distance between them recently has been physical distance because of work!”

Beatrice and Edo tried to put the rumors about “trouble in their marriage” to rest by stepping out for a dinner date at a sushi restaurant in Notting Hill on March 21.

As for the princess’s parents, her mother, Sarah Ferguson, has been keeping a low profile and hasn’t been seen in public for months. And Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has not been seen much either since he was arrested on Feb. 19, for suspicion of misconduct in public office.

After he was taken into custody, King Charles released a statement about the disgraced royal that read, “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair, and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.

“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
