Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie haven’t been in the spotlight much since their parents’ deeper involvement and connections with Jeffrey Epstein were made public.

Among the millions of Epstein documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice in January 2026 were Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson‘s names, showing the duo’s numerous correspondents with the convicted sex offender. Those revelations accelerated Andrew’s move more than 100 miles away from Windsor and forced Sarah into hiding in Austria.

For a while, many thought there would be a trickle-down effect and the princesses would have to pay for some of their parents’ sins. Therefore, Beatrice and Eugenie have been careful over the last few months about being in the spotlight too much, but their names have still made the headlines for reasons they didn’t want or ask for. The latest news we’ve heard though was happy as Princess Eugenie is pregnant with her third child, and that announcement came from the Palace.

Now, the sisters have returned to the spotlight at a party that included quite a few other high-profile guests, such as Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Rita Ora, actress Lily James, and Mick Jagger’s daughter, Georgia May Jagger.

The event was Poppy Delevingne’s lavish 40th birthday celebration in London. The bash marked the first time the princesses were seen together at a public event since the publishing of the Epstein files and their father’s arrest in February.

Beatrice and Eugenie arrived with their husbands in what royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams described to The Sun as a “very significant” chance for the sisters to “dip their toes back into public life” among the comfort of their friends the Delevingnes, as it was “far too soon” for them to appear alongside the royal family.

He added: “The pressure on them is so intense, but we are all wanting to know what the Yorks will do next. The symbolism of the two of them — every step they make is recorded. Beatrice has faced rumors about her marriage, making things absolutely impossible for her in recent months.

“Then we had the news that they wouldn’t be at the Easter service, which they simply couldn’t be — they would have completely overshadowed it. They are dipping their toes in the water, and trying to put a more –positive aura on life generally.”

A fellow partygoer who witnessed the princesses inside shared that “Bea and Eugenie were very happy and relaxed and were enjoying a rare night out. They seemed touched by the warm reception they received and looked like they didn’t have a care in the world. It was a very defiant display.

“Everyone at the party was saying it was their big return to London life and the girls could not stop smiling. It was obvious they just want to put the past behind them and move on as best they can. The fact they have been accepted back into the fold, despite the allegations surrounding their father, by such a famous and well-loved group of women really bodes well for the pair.”
