The fallout from Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s association with Jeffrey Epstein has trickled down to their daughters. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have reportedly been banned from some upcoming royal events and their status within Britain’s famous family remains uncertain.

Andrew’s long friendship with the convicted sex offender and allegations that he had sex with an Epstein victim when she was a minor were especially humiliating for Eugenie, who had been the patron of the Anti-Slavery International for years. But now the relationship between the two parties is officially over as the princess has stepped down.

A statement from the organization read: “After seven years, our patronage from HRH Princess Eugenie of York has come to an end. We thank the princess very much for her support for Anti-Slavery International. We hope that she continues to work to end slavery for good and deliver freedom for everyone.”

This news comes after the Charity Commission confirmed it was “assessing concerns” about a separate charity, The Anti-Slavery Collective, which Eugenie co-founded in 2017, and campaigns for more awareness of modern slavery and trafficking victims.

Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing regarding his relationship with Epstein, but has not made any comments since his arrest for suspicion of misconduct in public office on Feb. 19.
