Rachel Zoe’s Former Assistants Say Working for Her Was ‘Triggering’
Rachel Zoe and her former assistant, Brad Goreski, had an explosive falling out after he left her show. While they initially said they were on good terms, they later publicly slammed each other. This all happened years ago, but they are evidently still on bad terms. After Zoe said she felt betrayed by her former assistants, several of them opened up about their experience working with her.

Zoe and Goreski’s relationship broke down in 2010. Over a decade and a half later, she said she still doesn’t feel like she can trust assistants.
“In full disclosure, I just couldn’t trust assistants,” Zoe told People. “The definition of insanity is when you do the same thing over and over and expect a different outcome. I think after being completely betrayed, for lack of a better term, in various ways, by enough assistants and not being able to trust them with my clients and stuff to represent what I do and how I am with my clients, it just wasn’t worth it anymore.”
In a conversation with Interview Magazine, she also said having assistants was “triggering.”
“I’ve had the best in the world who are like family, but it also goes the other way. There’s betrayal and dishonesty and all the things,” she said. “It’s the hardest job to fill, always.”
Goreski commented on an Instagram post of the interview to share his experience of working with Zoe.
“Triggering for the assistants as well – Taylor, Jill, Jordan, Tara, Me …” he wrote.
Jordan Johnson Chung, who also worked with Zoe, commented “accurate” on the post as well.
