‘Reacher’ Star Alan Ritchson Breaks Silence After ‘Crazy Week’ and Fight With Neighbor
Alan Ritchson has had quite a week after a video of him getting into a physical fight with one of his neighbors went viral.
TMZ obtained and released video of the altercation on March 22 with the account of Ritchson’s Brentwood, Tennessee neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, who was involved. Although Taylor claimed the actor was the aggressor, law enforcement authorities didn’t see it that way thanks to a second video from a bodycam worn by Ritchson, which shows what happened leading up to him kicking Taylor while he was on the ground.
The clip shows Taylor confronting and yelling at Ritchson while he was riding his motorcycle through the neighborhood with his children. Taylor is even seen throwing himself in front of the War Machine star’s bike, forcing him to stop.
In a statement (via USA Today), Brentwood Police Department Captain Steven Pepin said, “Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense. Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges. The case is now closed, and no further action will be taken.”
The Reacher actor finally broke his silence following the incident on Instagram.
“Happy to be back in the booth after such a crazy week,” he captioned a clip for his more than 5 million followers on March 25. “That’s a wrap for me on post-production — Reacher season four. This is without a doubt the most gripping season yet. I think we hit our stride. Firing on all cylinders … as it were.”
